The desktop app
The Windows app cannot be installed at the moment. This page is the app from the inside, kept for the day it is back: the toolbar, the chat, the settings, and what it does by default.
NoteNothing on this page can be opened today. The Windows app is being rebuilt around accounts and the download page hands out no installer in the meantime, so the toolbar, the settings and the defaults below are the app as it will come back, not one you can start now.
The parts
- Toolbar
- A small bar at the top of your screen with the camera, the microphone and the chat. Always there; hidden from screen capture by default.
- Chat
- The window where you ask and watch it work. Ctrl+Shift+Space opens and hides it. It has its own model picker (default Claude Sonnet 5) and lists every step of a task.
- Settings
- Everything below, plus your subscription and support tickets. Open it from the toolbar.

Defaults
- Does not start with Windows (turn it on in General)
- Hidden from screen capture and screen sharing (F8 toggles)

Notices
Now and then the app shows a notice from us: a new version, planned maintenance, an incident. Most can be dismissed; a critical one stays until it is over.
