The welcome questions

The first time you log in, PocketPhantom walks you through a short setup, one screen at a time: the language of the app, what to call you and roughly what you do (with a profile photo if you like), what you will use it for, how it should talk, how used to AI assistants you are, where you heard of it, and whether what you write here may be used to make the product better. Each answer is saved the moment you give it, and Continue takes you to the next screen.

It opens over the chat and stays until you have been through it once; the questions want an answer, so there is no skip. If you close the tab halfway, it resumes on the same screen with everything you typed still there. It is asked once per account, not once per browser, so logging in on a second computer does not ask again. Every answer is a setting you can change afterwards in Settings › Personalisation, and Settings offers a way back into the guided questions.

Personalisation

How it talks

Standard, Professional, Happy, Friendly or Efficient. Standard is how it talks out of the box.

Traits

Emoji on or off (off by default, and never in code), enthusiastic or not, warm or neutral.

How it titles things

Plain headings, Title Case, or no headings at all: one flowing answer.

What it should call you

A nickname or your first name. It is also the name the home page greets you by.

What you do

A line about your work, so its answers fit what you actually do.

Anything else it should know

What you are working on, how much detail you like, anything it keeps getting wrong. Up to 1,000 characters.

Your own instructions

Up to 2,000 characters, followed in every chat on top of everything above.

Write the way you write

Paste a few paragraphs you wrote; it copies your rhythm and wording when it drafts for you.

The language it answers in

Under General. Auto follows the language you write in.

These live on your account, so they reach every chat on every computer you log in on, and the scheduled runs that happen while you are away. A project's instructions are added on top of them.

Memory

Memory is what you have asked it to remember about you: a list of short lines, added and deleted one at a time in Settings › Personalisation. They are sent with every chat while memory is on. Up to 200 lines, 400 characters each; the oldest are left out first if the list gets long.

Memory is kept on your account beside your chats, not in this browser. It is in the file you get from Export your data, and it goes when the account goes. The switch turns it off without deleting anything; Reset the account empties it.

Data controls

Improve the model

Whether what you write here may be used to make PocketPhantom better. On by default, and asked once in the welcome questions. Nothing is being used to train anything today, so this is a standing choice you make before any of that could begin; it changes nothing about how it answers you. A reset carries your answer across rather than putting it back to on.

Use where I am

Off by default. Switched on, your browser asks whether to share your position; we round it to about ten kilometres and keep that and your time zone, so answers about weather, opening hours and the time come out right. You can write a town instead.

Archived chats

Chats taken out of the sidebar and kept. Brought back one at a time from here.

Archive every chat

Takes all of them out of the sidebar at once and keeps every one.

Delete every chat

Every chat on the account, archived ones too, on every computer. No undo, no copy kept.

Reset the account

Every setting back to its default and nothing remembered. Chats, scheduled tasks and your plan are untouched, and the welcome questions are not asked again.

Export your data

One JSON file with your chats and what was said in them, your settings, your memory, your scheduled tasks and their runs, and your account's own facts.

Usage and Analytics

Settings › Usage shows what you have sent: today's count against the Free plan's three, the last 30 days as a chart, and every metered turn by model and by product. Settings › Analytics is the same rows over a window you choose, filtered by model and by product.

Both are counts and token totals only. Nothing you wrote is kept in them, and they are yours alone: we do not publish them, sell them or hand them to anybody.
