How it works
The pieces of PocketPhantom, what each one does, and where things run.
The pieces
- Your account
- Your identity on pocketphantom.com: an email address with a password, or Google or Apple where offered. It owns your subscription, your chats and your scheduled tasks. Projects are the one thing it does not hold yet: a project stays in the browser you made it in.
- The subscription
- One plan per account, billed monthly or annually. It includes our AI models and works on all your computers. The four sizes differ only in how much AI you get each month.
- The web app
- pocketphantom.com when you are logged in: a chat with the AI, projects, scheduled tasks and plugins. It runs in your browser and on our servers; it cannot reach your computer.
- The desktop app
- The Windows app that works on your computer: your files, your terminal, your screen. It logs in with your account: the same email and password as the website.
- The AI
- Models from Anthropic (the Claude family), OpenAI (the GPT family) and the uncensored GLM models, all included in every plan. Requests go from the web app or the desktop app to our servers and on to the model; nothing to set up. Every model is listed under Models and effort.
- A task
- Anything you ask for in a chat. On the web it is answered; on your computer it is done, step by step, with every change listed.

A typical day
- 1You log in on the web and ask something: a question, a draft, a plan. The answer streams in; web search is on.
- 2Something needs doing on your PC. You press Ctrl+Shift+Space on your computer and ask there. The desktop app asks for the folder, does it, and lists the changes.
- 3You set a scheduled task for tomorrow morning. It runs by itself; the result waits in the sidebar as a new chat.
