Scheduled tasks
Things that happen by themselves at a time you choose. The result waits for you as a new chat.

- A prompt plus a schedule: how often, at what time, and where it runs. Belongs to your account, so it runs while you are away.
- Run
- One execution of a task. Every run becomes a chat: the task as the question, the result as the answer.
Planning one
Open Scheduled in the sidebar. Type what should happen, pick how often, the time, where it runs and, for a chat task, which model answers, then press the arrow. Or take one of the suggested tasks. A line under the form says when the first run will be. Tasks belong to your account, so you need to be logged in.
The model is the same choice as in the chat bar: Auto lets us pick, or name a Claude model or GPT-6 Astra; see Models and effort. Every run of the task uses that model at Medium effort. To change it, delete the task and plan it again.

Where a task runs
- In chat: it runs on our servers at the set time, even while you are away and your computer is off. It can search the web, read, write and work things out; it cannot touch your computer.
- On my computer: you cannot choose this one yet. The button is there but switched off, and a task sent to it anyway is refused rather than put in a queue, so every task you can plan today runs in chat. When the desktop app is back, this will run on your files, terminal and screen, with your computer on and the app signed in.
Where the result appears
Each run becomes a new chat in your sidebar, marked with a small clock and shown in bold until you open it. When you come back after a run, a short note tells you what ran. The chat is an ordinary chat: read the result, then carry on from there with follow-up questions.
Times
Times are in the time zone of the browser you planned the task in: a task set for 09:00 in Zurich runs at 09:00 Zurich time wherever you are later. A run can start up to a minute after the set time and takes a little while to finish. Daylight-saving changes are handled; the wall-clock time stays the same.
Run now
Every chat task has a Run now button: it runs once right away without moving the schedule. Use it to see whether the task does what you meant before you leave it alone. A handful of Run now presses in a row is fine; more than that, and you are asked to wait a few minutes.
Writing a good task
Nobody is there to answer questions when it runs, so say everything in the prompt: what, how long, in which language, with links or not. The model knows the date and time of the run.
Give me a short morning brief: the five biggest tech stories and anything important in Swiss news, one line each with a link. In English.
Limits
- Up to 20 tasks per account, each up to 2,000 characters
- One run per task per set time; a run that failed says why in its chat
- A run's chat is saved to your account, so it is waiting on every computer you log in on; the same run never makes two chats
