Approvals and safety
Nothing asks you for an approval today. This page is kept for the day the Windows app is back: what it asks before doing, what it never does, and how to stop it.
NoteNo dialog is going to appear at the moment. The pause before an action you could not undo is the Windows app's, and the download page has no installer while that app is rebuilt around accounts. These rules are what the rebuilt app has to keep, not something you can try out today.
- Approval
- A pause before an action you could not undo. The app shows what it wants to do and waits for Allow or Deny. Nothing happens until you answer.
- Always allow
- An answer that also covers the next time: that kind of action, in that folder. Listed in Settings; remove any rule any time.
It asks before
- Deleting or overwriting files
- Moving files out of a folder you granted
- Running commands that change the system or install software system-wide
- Sending anything anywhere on your behalf
- Spending money
It never
- Works in a folder you did not grant
- Runs while hidden from you: every step is on screen as it happens
- Uploads your files anywhere except to the AI model for the task at hand
- Keeps going after you press Stop
Stopping
Stop in the chat or Esc ends the current step at once; a command that is running is ended too. What was already done stays done; ask it to undo, and it lists what it can put back.
